Penrith AFC Ladies and Development squads report back for pre-season training on June 24.
After the disruption caused by COVID-19 and the lockdowns, the players are looking forward the new season and a return to competitive football.
Manager Simon Savage said “It’s been a tough period for everyone.
“The players did come together for a six-week period of training when the lockdown lifted in April.
“That was important from a health and wellbeing perspective. Now returning properly for preseason training feels like a bit of normality is returning and the players are buzzing”.
The players will train twice weekly during the pre-season period and and a programme of friendly matches has been lined up including games against South Shields and Wigan Athletic.
New players are always welcome at the club who have a ladies team in the North West Regional League and a development team in the Lancashire County Women’s League.
