LIBERAL Democrat Susan Davies has been elected to a seat on Penrith town council.
She will now represent the town’s West Ward on the authority.
Ms Davies achieved 175 votes, with her nearest rival being Labour candidate Daniel Sencier, with 154 votes.
Phil Laycock (Conservative) achieved 59 votes, and Jonathan Davies (Putting People and Place First) 58 votes.
The turnout for the election, which came about after the resignation of independent councillor Jeff Thomson, was 20%.
