Winners of a new BBC series will be given the chance to make their mark on a luxurious Lakes hotel.
Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr kicked off this week and the competition will see 10 up-and-coming designers battle it out to design a space at Another Place, The Lake, on the shores of Ullswater.
Another Place, The Lake opened in 2017, following a £3.5 million revamp of the former Rampsbeck Hotel by Watergate Bay Hotel.
And now, the winning designers of the Tuesday night BBC Two show, hosted by comedian and presenter Alan Carr, will be able to create a space which will reflect the hotel’s ethos.
The hotel draws inspiration from the Lake District to embrace nature and evoke active, laidback living.
The eight-part series sees the competitors battle it out for the prize in a range of design challenges under the watchful eye of head judge, former editor-in-chief of Elle Decoration magazine, Michelle Ogundehin.
Will Ashworth, chief executive of Another Place, says: “Interior design is at the heart of Another Place and is a continual part of our journey.
“Recently we have been working with Cornwall-based Dynargh Design to refresh some of our suites to make them more individual.
“We are excited to bring the show winner into our interior design collective, alongside Household and Joules.”
Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr is on Tuesday nights at 8pm on BBC Two. The first episode is available on the iPlayer.
