A 17-year-old boy from Appleby and a 37-year-old man from Carlisle, arrested last week on suspicion of assisting an offender, were released on police bail on Friday, 17th November.
A day later, two 19-year-old men from the Carlisle area, who were arrested on suspicion of murder earlier this week, have been released on police bail as investigations continue.
Detectives are working round the clock to find missing man Paul Taylor who has not been seen since 17th October after leaving his home in Annan — with this remaining a key focus of the investigation. His car was later found abandoned in Langwathby.
Officers continue to appeal for the public’s help with this inquiry.
“We are particularly keen to seek any information about Paul’s movements or the movements of his car — a blue Vauxhall Corsa, registration PY18 DYO — between the night of 17th October and the morning of 19th October,” said a police spokesman.
“Anyone with information or who may have seen Paul or his car in the Carlisle west area, specifically the Yewdale, Sandsfield Park and Burgh Road areas, is asked to contact officers.”
