A Penrith town councillor has shared photographs of fly-tipping in the town.
Jonathan Davies, who represents Penrith West, says the photos were sent to him by a shocked resident who lives near the recycling area at New Squares car park.
Mr Davies said: “This is shocking and distressing.
“No one can think it’s correct to just dump items like this and leave them at any time and to make matters worse with the bad weather forecast it could end up blown across Penrith.
“Remember if it’s not in the bin then it’s fly-tipping and a fine could be given to those who haven’t given a though to the mess they are making.”
