The team at Shap Chippy have launched a second fish and chip van, serving communities across Cumbria.
The state-of-the-art van has a new home in Appleby, at a purpose-built unit which houses a professional prep kitchen.
“To be able to expand our new business during these crazy COVID times is a true blessing,” said Shap Chippy co-owner Matt Phillips.
“The local communities have been such an amazing support and we wanted to bring fish and chips to more people each week, so we’ve got a second van on the road already after just six months!
The Eden valley chip shop came second in the 2020 National Fish and Chip Awards earlier this year.
Co-owner Ashley Phillips added: “We feel that it’s so important to support the local communities, now more than ever.
“To have a chippy van come to your village where you may be locked down and not had a treat like a chippy tea in ages, is just the best feeling for both us and the customer!”
Matt and Ashley, co-owners of Shap Chippy and Shappy Wheels, took ownership of Shap Chippy in July 2018.
