Owners of a historic Eden hall are throwing open its doors for the first time to couples who want to get married.
Tony Kenvig and his partner have lived in Calthwaite Hall since 2010 and introduced private lodges in the grounds and also run the village pub, The Globe Inn.
Now, they have decided to open the main house for weddings and appointed Steve Pott as general manager and Annabel Candler as wedding manager.
They hope to expand the offer to cater for weddings and private parties. Steve, previously executive head chef at the successful Farlam Hall, lives in the village with his family. Annabel has added this venue to her portfolio of Cumbrian sites after recruiting models and suppliers from the area for a photoshoot in 2020.
Annabel and her team from Weddings by Annabel have started working with the hall’s team to showcase the new accommodation at a treat day on Saturday, April 22.
Steve added: “We looked for a way to show what we have been working on and treat some great couples to a day with those special to them. Couples will be able to meet local wedding professionals and we are also taking bookings.
“People can not only come and view the site but also dine in our new Orangery. Afternoon tea in a perfect setting to chat about your plans!”
Couples are invited to book a table via steve@calthwaitehall.co.uk and send queries to annabel@weddingsbyannabel.co.uk
