BOWMAN (nee McCrone). — Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at The Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Thursday, 26th January, Hazel, of Burrowgate, Penrith, treasured wife of Robert, dearly loved mam of Mark, much loved mother-in-law of Sal, devoted and proud nana of Marcia, Tilly, Jesse and Robbie, and an adored daughter of the late Jeff and Doris. Aged 73 years. Funeral service at St. Andrew’s Church, Penrith, on Thursday, 9th February, at 11-30am, followed by interment at Penrith Cemetery. Family flowers only but, if desired, donations in memory of Hazel for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland may be sent c/o Richardsons Funeral Directors, Victoria Road, Penrith, CA11 8HR.

DAVISON. — Peacefully, at The Grange, Appleby, on Thursday, 26th January, John Angus, of Appleby (formerly of Morland) dearly loved husband of Kathleen, much oved dad of Elizabeth, Anne and Louise, father-in-law of John, Tom and Neil, loving granda of Zoe, Edward, Nicola, Emily, Richard and great-granda of Andy, John was a loving brother, uncle and friend to many. Aged 91 years. He will be sorely missed. Funeral service at St. Lawrence’s Church, Morland, on Friday, 17th February, at 11am. Family flowers only please. HALIFAX. — Peacefully, at Penrith Hospital, on Wednesday, 25th January, Thomas Caunt, of Bowscar, Penrith (formerly of Clarilaw Farm) loving partner of Ruth, much loved dad of Jayne and Catherine and a loving grandfather and greatgrandfather. HERITAGE. — Peacefully, at home, after a long illness, on Wednesday, 25th January, David, of Penrith, beloved husband of Susan and a much loved dad, step-dad and “pops”. Aged 86 years. HILL. — Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Friday, 27th January, Barbara Agnes (formerly of Penrith and Langwathby) much loved mam of Carol, Wendy and Kasey, a sadly missed grandmother of Dean and Sam, and a special greatgrandmother of Tilly. Aged 84 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Wednesday, 8th February, at 2pm. JOPLING (née Allan). — Peacefully, on Thursday, 26th January, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, Elizabeth (Liz), of Nateby, Kirkby Stephen, dearly loved wife of Alan, sister of Bill, Gillian and her partner Brian, sister-in-law of Joyce, a much loved aunty of Hazel and Glenys, a sadly missed friend to Judith and her family. Aged 64 years. A funeral service and cremation will take place at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Wednesday, 8th February, at 11am. TORMEY. — Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, 25th January, after an illness bravely fought, Christopher (Jarv) of Pategill Court, Penrith, partner and soulmate of Tessa, stepfather of Trey, beloved son of Josie and the late Richard and a sadly missed brother, uncle and friend to many. Aged 44 years. Service at St. Andrew’s Church, Penrith, on Friday, 10th February, at 1pm followed by interment at Penrith Cemetery.
