Landlords of a popular Penrith pub have announced they are calling time later this year.
Gary and Wendy Bowden, of the Agricultural Hotel, have announced they will cease trading on Sunday June 4, having decided after 20 years to end their lease.
In a statement on Facebook, they said: “Please can we urge everyone who has purchased gift vouchers to use then before the end of May. Booking advisable.
“Can we take this opportunity to thank all our regulars and locals that have got us through some tough times and stuck by us.
“But it is time for us to slow down and find something less demanding as we have been in the hospitality sector now for over 25 years.
“Lastly a big thank you to PFK for being such good landlords to us for the past five years through some difficult times. Wishing everyone all the best for the future.”
