A Penrith building firm and housing developer is celebrating after winning prestigious industry awards.
Atkinson Homes and Atkinson Building Contractors, based at East Lakes Business Park, have been acknowledged in the LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards.
Atkinson Building Contractors won the northern regional accolade in the Best Large Social Housing Development category, for its 68-home development on Dalston Road in Carlisle. The affordable housing on McDevitt Way and Girdwood Close was built in partnership with Riverside Housing
Atkinson Homes was named northern regional winners in the Best Medium Volume New Housing Development category, for its luxury development at Beacon Edge, Penrith. Mulberry Gardens features eight two- and three-storey homes.
A spokesman for Atkinson said: “Both teams are extremely proud of these awards and their achievements, which are testament to everyone involved. We are now preparing to head to London for the 2022 LABC Awards national grand final in January.”
