A concert by Eden Singers – their first in three years – raised funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
They performed Songs from the Shows to a packed house at Penrith Methodist Church with free entry and donation buckets. A cheque for £930 was then handed to GNAAS.
Refreshments during the interval were provided by members of Penrith Soroptimists and raised a further £80 for the church’s chosen charity.
The Singers will be having their Christmas Concert today, December 14, at 7.30pm, again at the Methodist church – with a charge of £8.
The group also sang carols at the Penrith Sparkle lights switch-on.
