A 27-year-old man will appear in court next month after an incident in Alston.
Mustafa Osman, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested after police were called to Lovelady Lane in Alston at around 11.50pm on Wednesday, November 9.
A spokesman said: “Officers attended the location and a man was restrained and arrested. During the incident two officers received injuries requiring hospital treatment.”
Osman has been charged with with affray, criminal damage and two counts of attempt to cause grievous bodily harm.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on December 9.
