A holiday park near Appleby has revealed the first phase of its plans for an £8 million entertainment complex.
Wild Rose Holiday Park at Ormside is owned by Harrison Holidays and it will open its new bar and restaurant next month.
A stage area is central to the restaurant, providing entertainment for diners in the main dining area, as well as a private dining area for those who prefer a little more privacy. There is also a cosy snug for those who want to enjoy drinks by the fireplace.
To the rear of the restaurant is a polished American sports bar themed area.
George Harrison, the founder of Harrison Holidays, said of the new complex: “We are enormously proud of this ambitious project as it starts to take shape.
“We have invested £8 million into making an already sought after location into one of the best holiday destinations in the UK.
“The location is already a popular choice for walkers and cyclings looking to explore the nearby Yorkshire Dales and Lake District and this complex will put the area on the map as an essential staycation experience for young families and couples to enjoy. Why go abroad with a place like this on your doorstep?”
Future phases for the complex include a large, heated pool, which seamlessly extends from indoors to an outdoor pool area, sun loungers and a walled faux planted garden.
The first floor of the complex will include a bright and colourful play area, coffee counter and ice cream parlour.
A gym area and cinema are also planned.
