Cumbrian food champion Cranstons has announced an enhanced charity partnership with Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland.
Cranstons will now donate some of its annual profits along with actively fundraising for the charity throughout the year.
Managing director Martin Jones this week presented a cheque for £4,350 to Hospice at Home’s Julie Blundell.
Mr Jones said: “I am thrilled to announce that Cranstons will be working even more closely with Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland from now on.
“Cranstons has been a long term supporter of Hospice at Home over the years and we wanted to support them more significantly in their 25th anniversary year.
“It is great that our customers can shop with us knowing that some of the money they spend throughout the year will be donated in support of this vital local service.
“Cranstons will continue to support other local charities and community groups with raffle prizes, sponsorship and discounted goods, along with actively fundraising and giving a proportion of profits to Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland.”
Fiona Stobart, chief executive officer for Hospice at Home, said: “On behalf of all patients, families and carers I would like to express our sincere thanks to all at Cranstons for the incredible donation of £4,350.
“Cranstons have always been generous and loyal supporters of Hospice at Home and to receive this sum at the start of our 25th anniversary year is a fantastic boost.
“Their donation will provide many hours of vital local care for local people — thank you.”
