Eden’s motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, will begin over the next seven days:
- A66, from 8pm March 30 to 5am March 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Warcop, traffic signals for barrier repairs.
- A66, from 8pm March 31 to 5am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Warcop, traffic signals for Sign repairs.
- A66, from 8pm April 4 to 6am April 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Warcop to Brough. Convoy working for drainage works.
- A66, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on April 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A66 Warcop, traffic signals in place to allow BT to carry out work on county council road.
Two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
- M6, from 8pm December 9 2021 to 6am April 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 37 to 38, Lane closures and entry/exit slip road closure for drainage works.
- A66, from 8am December 17 2021 to 8pm December 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6, junction 40 roundabout and northbound, main carriageway and A66 Kemplay bank TM Embargo every Friday daytime.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
