Penrith lifted the Meyler Cup yesterday with a 21-run victory over Carnforth.
The final, at Eccleston CC, was played in front of a large number of spectators and resulted in Penrith first team’s first silverware for more than a decade.
Eighteen-year-old James Ellis was named man of the match for his superb figures of seven for 16.
Penrith skipper Ali Craig said: “It was a really good day and a hell of a team performance.”
