Town councillors have agreed to make a contribution of £800 towards the provision of CCTV cameras in Kirkby Stephen.
The money will help pay for two further CCTV cameras, taking the town’s tally of working cameras to four.
In addition, a prospective offer of assistance with decommissioning costs from the leader of Eden District Council for the cabled network associated with the old CCTV system was fully supported by all councillors.
