The Penrith branch of Greggs is closed and will not reopen until Sunday.
A sign appeared on its door today telling potential customers that it had to temporarily close the Devonshire Street shop.
The sign gives the location of the nearest open Greggs shop, in Carlisle, but does not state why the one in Penrith is closed.
It said it will reopen on Sunday from 8.30am to 2,30pm and normal hours will resume on Monday, August 2.
It is not known whether it is COVID-19 related.
