Stalemate halts county political decisions
POLITICAL decisions have been halted at Cumbria County Council until the end of next month.
The failure by any of the parties to win overall control of the council chamber and next month’s general election are behind the move.
Councillors met in Kendal on Thursday for the first time since the local elections on 4th May and took less than 15 minutes to adjourn the council’s annual meeting until 29th June.
