Ross joins Ryder Cup party before teeing up new job
EUROPE’S Ryder Cup-winning heroes celebrated long into the night at their team hotel in Paris on Sunday — and among them was Eden man Ross Parker in his role as head of sponsorship at the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA).
The celebrations also marked the end of the 33-year-old’s 11-year career with the PGA, as he starts a new job on Tuesday as head of sponsorship for the NEC group.
Europe lifted the solid gold trophy after a convincing victory over the USA — and enjoyed a memorable party on Sunday night.
“Nick Grimshaw (BBC Radio 1 DJ) was flown in to DJ and it carried on until 4am or 5am,” said Ross, who was photographed with most members of the team, along with captain Thomas Bjorn.
