Festival puts Cumbria on musical map
THERE was plenty of mud and acres of top quality music at the 12th instalment of Kendal Calling which came to a dramatic conclusion last night with a first class display of fireworks.
In excess of 26,000 revellers enjoyed four days of live bands and DJs at the award-winning Lowther Deer Park event which continues to put Cumbria firmly on the musical map.
Highlights included the Stereophonics, who organisers said had been the most requested band by fans, and Tinie Tempah, who closed proceedings on the main stage.
There was also plenty of entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
