Cyclist injured in crash

A CYCLIST was taken to hospital following a collision with a car at the Catterlen interchange this afternoon.

Police were called to the incident at 2-11pm, which occurred on the M6 junction 41 interchange.

The car, a Peugeot 2008 Allure, was driven by a local woman in her 40s. She was not injured.

The cyclist was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, with injuries not believed to be life threatening. The road has since reopened.
