CUMBRIA’S first female bishop, the Rev Dr Emma Ineson, was taken on a whistlestop tour of the county to meet key church personnel and members of the community this week.

Emma, who is to be consecrated as the new Bishop of Penrith in February, but will begin some work in the diocese in the autumn, will be moving with her husband, Mat, and their two children, from Stoke Bishop, near Bristol.
