“Spine of the team is strong” says May as Blues’ resurgence continues
TWO away wins in four days saw Penrith AFC continue their remarkable resurgence and hoist themselves further away from the Northern League Division I drop zone.
Martyn Coleman scored twice as the Blues won 2-0 at Seaham Red Star on Saturday, before netting another brace in a crucial 3-0 success away to fellow strugglers Jarrow Roofing BCA on Tuesday night when strike partner Connor Shields was also on target.
Excellent team performances laid the foundations for both clean sheet victories. And player-manager Kyle May spoke of high fitness levels, impressive work rate and noted that the “spine of the team is strong”.
