Date: Friday 19th May 2017

TALENTED Penrith teenager Joe Connelly has won four gold medals at the county athletics championships — for the second time.

Four years ago, when Joe was 12, he took top spot in the high jump, 80m sprint, 80m hurdles and the long jump, in which he set a new record.

After four years of representing Cumbria, he returned on Saturday for a final time at the oldest junior age group (under-17) to win another four golds.
