Impressive performance sees Tynefield Park men avoid the drop
AN impressive victory over Garstang on Saturday secured Penrith’s place in the Northern Premier League for next season.
The 15 points gained was enough to ensure they finished above both Morecambe and Fulwood and Broughton, avoiding possible relegation into the Palace Shield.
It also means they can enjoy their final game of the season away to league leaders Blackpool, who have all to play for. They are seven points above Netherfield, who are at Garstang today.
“It was a relief,” said skipper Joanthon Osborne. “It has been a rollercoaster season and the pressure is now off.
