PENRITH AFC boss Jim Nichols has signed a host of new players over the summer.

The signing of the latest arrival, winger Chris Wraighte, was announced on Monday. He made his debut last night in the side's final pre-season friendly, a 1-0 defeat at Workington AFC.

Nichols has been tracking Wraighte, who has his own YouTube video displaying his silky skills, for many months. His previous clubs include Morecambe, Workington and Holker Old Boys.

Other new faces at Frenchfield are young goalkeepers Cameron Copland (formerly Queen of the South) and Luke Miller (Pirelli); ex-Carlisle United, Workington, Gretna and Annan full back Jonny Blake; winger Elliot Bousfield, formerly of Milnthorpe Corinthians; ex-Queen of the South defender Jack Dickinson; and teenage midfielder Jamie Hodgson, who is dual-registered at Holker Old Boys.

In addition, another midfield man, Dean Crozier, has returned after a spell away, and Nichols has been boosted by the return of most of last season's squad, including skipper Grant Davidson and prolific striker Martyn Coleman.
