Bitter complaints over loss of shelter
Sir, As your readers are aware, the bus shelter at Scotland Road, Penrith, was recently removed without warning and has not been replaced.
This shelter served the purpose of keeping passengers dry in the event of wind, rain and snow etc and it does need to be replaced.
Passengers travelling to Carlisle or boarding and exiting the 646 town bus have complained bitterly about the lack of protection against the elements, since this facility was removed.
If anyone has any issues relating to the above, could they please direct their comments towards Penrith Town Council, Friargate, Penrith.
I believe local district and county councillors are involved and the matter is ongoing. Let us have this amenity replaced as soon as possible. Yours etc,
