Westmorland services in national top 10

WESTMORLAND-run service stations at Tebay and Gloucester have been named among the best in the country, in a survey carried out by consumer group Transport Focus.

Both the northbound and southbound services on the M6 at Tebay and the northbound and southbound services on the M5 at Gloucester came in the top 10, after customers were surveyed at all 112 services areas in the country between February and April.

Gloucester southbound ranked highest of Westmorland’s sites, coming fourth, followed by the northbound site in fifth. Tebay north came in eighth and the southbound site ninth.

The poll was topped by Reading westbound services on the M4, followed by Rivington on the northbound M61 and Corley on the northbound M6. Others in the top 10 were Knutsford (M6 southbound), Norton Canes (M6) and Cobham (M25). The worst were Heston (eastbound M4), Stafford (southbound M6) and Rownhams (southbound and northbound M27), Toddington (southbound M1), Washington (northbound A1M), Winchester (southbound M3), Membury, (eastbound M4, Clacket Lane (eastbound M25) and Bridgwater (M5).
