Property expert returns to Cumbria
AN experienced development lawyer has returned to Cumbria to join Burnetts’ expanding commercial property team as a senior associate.
Kathryn Dean, aged 39, plans to build on her specialist legal experience in the commercial and residential development sector as well as more general property work.
“I thoroughly enjoy the legal elements of property, and I’ve been involved in all aspects of several big development projects, from the acquisition of land for building through to site set up and the sale of completed units,” she said.
Kathryn has previously worked with legal firms Atherton Godfrey, Coen Cramer and Lupton Fawcett in Yorkshire. Her clients have included the Diocese of York, two breweries, housing associations and major house builders.
She will be based at the Penrith office of Burnetts as part of the 18-strong team in the agribusiness and commercial property department that is spread across the practice’s four offices.
A former student at Cockermouth School, Kathryn is originally from Penrith and has returned to live in the Eden Valley. She is a school governor and a keen gardener in her spare time.
