More tourists visiting Eden
EDEN bounced back from the winter floods with more tourists, new figures suggest.
The area attracted 4.77 million tourism visits last year — a three per cent. increase on 2015, according to new statistics from Eden Tourism. The sector is now estimated to worth over £309 million to the local economy.
Eden Tourism, the service offered by Eden District Council, has been working closely with colleagues in the Yorkshire Dales national park as parts of the Upper Eden Valley and Howgills were absorbed into the Yorkshire Dales last year.
