Feedback sought on runningof horse fair
PUBLIC meetings are to be held in Appleby, Kirkby Stephen and Sedbergh to gain feedback about the operational planning of this year’s Appleby horse fair.
The fair is not run or licensed by one organisation or individual, but — under the banner of the Multi-Agency Strategic Co-ordinating Group (MASCG) — public agencies, the RSPCA and gypsy and traveller representatives work with town and parish councils to discuss and co-ordinate activities to help make it as safe as possible for everyone concerned.
The public meetings, which will be attended by MASCG representatives, are taking place at Sedbergh on Monday; Kirkby Stephen on Tuesday (between 7pm and 9pm at the grammar school); and Appleby on Monday, 16th July (between 7pm and 9pm at the public hall).
People can also provide their views about the 2018 fair by using the feedback form on the MASCG website, www.applebyfair.org
