TWO beauticians and skin care specialists at a Penrith salon have completed training to further their knowledge.

Lauren Leeson and Luiza Oliver, who work at Styleline, have become Dermalogica certified after completing a course in Glasgow.

Lauren, who has worked as a skin and beauty therapist at the salon for three years, said the course had helped increase her knowledge of skin and she was now able to understand varying skin types.

Luiza, a hairdresser, beauty therapist and skin expert, and Lauren had to complete a written exam as well as a practical test at the end of their training.

Having completed the training, Lauren said: “It has given us both a lot more confidence in ourselves and talking to clients just because we know we have the knowledge and are 100 per cent. confident in what we do.”

A new brow bar area has been created at Styleline, offering high definition eyebrow treatments which are more suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Business owner Bryan Gardiner created the new area, which also offers standard eyebrow waxing and trimming treatments.

Lauren and co-worker Stacey Edmondson have received in-house training for the new brow bar.
