£275 bill for drugs possession

A PENRITH man who was in possession of amphetamine and cannabis in Carlisle was given a £275 court bill.

Billy Moorhead (30), White Hart Yard, pleaded guilty to possessing amphetamine and cannabis in the city on 28th July when he appeared at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court. For each offence, Moorhead was given an £80 fine and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and costs of £85.

The forfeiture and destruction of the drugs was also ordered.
